Objectives:
Create brand awareness for Old Wisconsin. Distribute samples of a variety of Old Wisconsin sausages to consumers as well as coupons for Old Wisconsin products. Obtain consumer feedback in video form using the Old Wisconsin “smokehouse” pedi-cap. Educate attendees about Old Wisconsin products and answer all questions about the products being sampled.
Elements:
A 10x20 activation area with a sampling station and Smokehouse Confessional. Products distributed in the sampling area included varying sizes of Turkey Sticks and Beef Sticks, a variety of Summer Sausage flavors, and Beef Stick/Cheddar Cheese combo packs. All consumers were offered coupons to purchase Old Wisconsin sausage from any retailer at a discounted price. The Old Wisconsin Smokehouse Confessional consisted of a pedi-cab, customized to look like a realistic log cabin, equipped with three GoPro cameras that would record consumer feedback and initial reactions upon trying Old Wisconsin sausage.
Results:
Distributed over 25,000 samples of Old Wisconsin product to interested consumers. Handed out 1,500 coupons to attendees who sampled any Old Wisconsin sausage. Established significant brand awareness for Old Wisconsin. Gathered consumer feedback via GoPro cameras for all Old Wisconsin products sampled at the events.
